**Requirements**:
An Honours Degree in Finance, Accounting, Logistics or Supply Chain Management coupled with seven years' relevant experience in assets management. Experience in handling suppliers and conducting supplier performance as well as experience in higher education environment will be an added advantage.

**Duties**

Perform fair value assessment and impairment of assets assessment in terms of IFRS. Perform an annual assessment of useful life of fixed assets in terms of IFRS. Preparation of the fixed asset notes in the annual financial statements in terms of IFRS. Assist in the strategic planning and the subsequent fine tuning of the Operational Plan of the section. Implementation of the Operational Plan. Assist with the formulation of policies and procedures in relation to environment to support the University's overall strategy and overseeing their implementation. Ensure compliance with University agreements and policies. Oversee the management of the University fleet. Manage replenishing of stores consumables and internal ordering of goods and ensure procurement performs internal ordering of goods and services as well as management of the stores section
