Workshop Foreman

**Salary**

Basic salary negotiable depending on relevant brand training and experience. Commission and company contributions to medical aid and provident fund.

**Description**

Your main function is to lead the team of technical staff members in the workshop to ensure efficient operation and quality of workmanship. This is a critical role in planning, coordinating, supervising and management of daily operations, distribution of work according to skill set, quality control and following of OEM standard operating procedures.

Our client requires someone with leadership skills, a technical qualification and management expertise, as well as a great understanding of OEM customer service quality and consistency in quality of workmanship of the team.

**Requirements**:

- RSA Citizen
- Matric / relevant qualification
- Motor Mechanic Trade Test (Passenger Vehicles)
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience after your trade test in a franchise dealership service department of which minimum 2 years’ experience will be that of Workshop Foreman.
- Computer literacy skills above average
- Specific brand experience.
- Valid driver's license
- Clear criminal record
- Contactable references
- Understanding of customer service scoring and targets
- Understanding of OEM processes and procedures
- Great communication skills and experience in dealing with customers face to face to listen to problems and find solutions to their problems on a customer service level.
