**ABOUT THE ROLE**

The Deal Team Operational Analyst plays a crucial role in overseeing and implementing approved operational plans for new deal onboarding, and analysing trends in post-onboarding deals.

This role requires strong analytical skills, exceptional organizational abilities, and a deep understanding of operational processes. The analyst is responsible for closely monitoring various components of the operational plans, providing regular updates to stakeholders, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely execution of new book operational strategies, and addressing any deviations to meet implementation timelines. Additionally, they identify trends and opportunities in older deals.

This position is based in our Woodstock, Cape Town branch.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

You will have the following responsibilities (including but not limited to):
New Deals
- Conduct end-to-end analysis of new deals and portfolios
- Evaluate the alignment of new deal activities with established objectives and plans
- Monitor and assess the performance metrics of new books
- Identify and analyse deviations in timelines, scope or resource allocation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand the reasons behind deviations
- Proactively identify potential risk to the successful implementation of new deals
- Develop risk mitigation strategies in collaboration with stakeholders
- Provide insights and presentations on new deal progress to management and stakeholders
- Prioritize project demands and adjust plans to accommodate changing priorities

General Performance Analyses
- Monitoring and identifying trends and highlighting areas of opportunity or potential risk
- Utilize statistical tools and software to extract meaningful insights from large datasets
- Works with teams to address roadblocks or identified operational bottlenecks, recommends areas for optimization and facilitates solutions for issue resolution
- Continuously monitor the effectiveness of implemented initiatives against predefined success criteria
- Provide recommendations for process improvements and optimization based on performance analysis
- Prepare ad-hoc reports as needed to address specific issues identified
- Collaborate and contribute in review meetings to refine future operational plans based on lessons learned and insights gained from existing analyses

**REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS**
- Minimum 5 years in an Operational management position preferably in Credit & Collections industry
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and draw meaningful insights
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify issues and propose solutions
- Detail-oriented and organized, capable of managing multiple tasks, plans and priorities
- Proficient in Office Suite and knowledge of Qlik Reporting advantageous
- Learning agility & adaptability
- Ability to work under pressure

**WORKING HOURS**:
You will be required to work a maximum of 45 hours per week, Monday - Friday.
