_**Purpose of role**:_

Our client in the Retail sector is looking for an IT Trainer to play a key role in designing training material and delivering professional facilitation in line with business requirements. We are looking for someone who will be able to maximize people development with regards to systems and processes.

This role ensures that the training needs for Projects, New Stores and Continuous Training can be performed according to business requirements and Adult learning principles. The IT Trainer ensures that transfer of learning takes place and that competency based assessments are developed and conducted. The IT Trainer will coach associates to reach full adoption or utilisation of the system and or process.
- **Responsibilities**:_

Accountable for the following main functional areas, following the ADDIE Model:

- Analyse the business training need in order to identify how the training interventions will add value to the individual and the business
- Determine if the training is business critical
- Design training material that adheres to Adult Learning principles
- Develop training material that will aid in the transfer of learning and adoption of the process
- Develop competency based assessments
- Methodically and efficiently prepare for the identified training interventions following correct governance
- Facilitate training interventions in order to ensure maximum knowledge transfer and adoption
- Conduct competency based assessments
- Evaluate assessments to ensure competency
- Track and Evaluate delegate feedback
- Efficient equipment management to ensure the equipment remains in excellent working condition and no losses are incurred to the business
- Effective self-management to ensure company policies and processes are adhered to
- **Key Relationships**:_
- While the IT Trainer may not have supervisory responsibility, this function will have to work through many others in the organization to succeed
- The IT Trainer will provide direct support and coaching to all levels of delegates as they help their delegates to learn and adopt processes
- The IT Trainer will also support project and change management teams in training new processes
- Partners across Technology functions (e.g., Infrastructure, PMO, Contract Management, Vendor Management, Technology Procurement, etc.) and Divisions/Business Units to ensure Technology Training requirements are met

**Minimum Academic, Professional Qualifications & Experience required**:

- Grade 12
- Relevant degree an advantage
- Facilitator qualification
- Assessor qualification an advantage
- Instructional Design an advantage
- 4 years’ experience in a similar role
- MS Office proficiency
- Ability to train technical concepts
- Systems: SAP; CKS; BI an advantage
- Ability to lead, plan, organize and manage both people and activities
- Ability to interact and communicate at all levels within the Organization
- Knowledge of Adult Learning processes and practices
- A self-starter requiring mínimal management input
- Ability to travel - driver's licence essential

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: R400.00 - R550.00 per hour

**Experience**:

- IT Training: 4 years (required)
