**BUYER ACQUISITION**

To manage the process for the purchase of goods and service in compliance with the university’s

Supply Chain Management policy.***

**Requirements**:

- NQF Level 7 in Purchasing Management or Logistics
- Minimum_ _4 years solid experience in a Supply Chain management. Experience at an

institution of higher learning will be an added advantage.
- Solid knowledge of purchasing and tender practices and procedures.
- Knowledge of an electronic procurement system.
- Knowledge of purchasing principles and relevant legislation.
- Knowledge of tender principles and relevant legislation.
- Computer literacy: MS Office.

**Key Performance Areas**:

- Administration of the procurement of goods and services.
- Provide internal support to departments on the procurement of goods and services.
- Identifies possible procurement risks by verifying and scrutinising submission of

information by bidders.
- Take ownership for own learning and growth.
