**Duties**:

- Teaching theory and practice of Performance Studies, Performance Ethnography and Theatre-Making for Social Change within the field of Applied Drama and Theatre Studies at undergraduate and postgraduate level;
- Compiling the course outline and course reading material
- Monitoring and reporting on student attendance and progress
- Coordinating course examinations and submission of course marks
- Research Supervision at Honours and Master’s levels in Performance Studies, Performance Ethnography and Theatre-Making for Social Change in the field of Applied Drama and Theatre Studies;
- Contributing to creative and traditional research output of Drama for Life;
- Aligning and managing Drama for Life’s community engagement strategy with its academic offerings;
- Making significant contribution to curriculum development in Applied Drama and Theatre Studies;
- Support with academic administration, departmental governance, school level committee representation, student consultations, attend staff meetings and related activities

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- Master’s degree in Performance Studies and, or Performance as Research and, or Theatre for Social Change in the broad field of Applied Drama and Theatre Studies;
- Teaching experience in Applied Drama and Theatre with a specialisation in Performance Studies and Theatre-Making;
- Experience as a lecturer at a tertiary institution;
- Experience in coordinating and supervising student community engagement projects.
- Expert knowledge and practice in Theatre-Making for Change, Performance Ethnography, and one or more of the following: Theatre of the Oppressed, Theatre for Development, Playback Theatre, Theatre in Education, Improvisational Drama and Process Drama.
- A history of devising and implementing innovative, comprehensive and sustainable Applied Theatre Projects in community settings and social contexts.
-Expert experience as a Theatre Director, Performer, Creative Researcher, and Performance Teacher.
