**HR Operations Manager**

Our client, is a leading international retail holding company, represents a number of leading footwear and clothing brands in South Africa. This position proactively provides support services to all business units within the company, ensuring the effective and consistent management of all employees. This role contribute towards the development and on-going review of Human Resource policies and procedures and ensure compliance with national legislation to ensure that the company’s liability is minimized. The ideal incumbent is an individual with a passion for employee relations, with a strong EQ and a proven track record of employee facilitation relations.

**Requirements**:

- A relevant HR qualification.
- Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role.
- Experience with operational and strategic HR service delivery.
- Sound knowledge or industrial relations, LRA, BCEA, UIA, EEA and OHSA.
- Experience implementing workforce plans that reflect organisational/departmental need.
- Highly empathetic with an ability to develop strong, trusting and mutually beneficial relationships, and influence at all levels of the organization.
- Ability and hunger to strive for continuous improvement and lead change.
- Be knowledgeable in all aspects of applicable equity recommendations and the Skills Development Act.
- Be a deep specialist in IR [disciplinary and grievance procedures].
- This position will require the HR Operations Manager to travel periodically to various national branches.

**Knowledge, skills, and attributes**:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong EQ.
- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organisational diagnosis, diversity, performance management, and relevant employment laws.
- Assertive in approach coupled with confidence in area of expertise and the ability to facilitate business conversations.
- Maintains a clear and detailed knowledge of the industry trends, best practices, and labour legislation.
- Ability to ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures.
- Ability to work effectively and maintain resilience in a changing environment.
- Strong relationship management and demonstrated collaborative skills in working with multi-dimensional environments.
- A true team player, able to comfortably navigate staff across all sectors of the business.

**Key Performance Areas**:

- Plan and execute the HR strategy to ensure compliance at all staff levels within the organisation.
- Ensure that all HR policies and updates, are adhered to throughout the organisation by ensuring regular communication to all staff members.
- Monthly reports and related interventions review and reports to relevant parties.
- Drive life cycle management activities and support the Operations.
- Support equity initiatives and activities in alignment to the BBBEE strategy.
- Manage internal and external relationships to ensure compliance.
- Drive process improvement as part of the overall HR Strategy.
- Oversee monthly Payroll activities to ensure 100% compliance.
- Ensure all administrative duties are performed with 100% compliance and recordkeeping as per agreed by business and government.
- Support the business to drive a decrease in absence through HR activities.
- Support the business to drive a performance driven culture through proper PIP processes.
- Drive engagement and conduct exit interviews.
- Staff development regarding Staff wellness/wellbeing
- holistic portfolio including team-building, identifying programmes and coordinating these as a point of growth and development for staff personally.
- Policy education and training and follow up with respect to implementation in support of the HR function.
- Implement Equity Plan in consultation with the Head of HR and complete Equity Reports.
- Being the receptor for grievances in an explanatory capacity on policies / procedures to assist in understanding policies and when to initiate and implement them.
- The role will include facilitating tough conversations to support resolution in conflict situations.
- Represent the organisation in the event of CCMA involvement.
- Offer counselling services to employees.
- Participate in recruitment and dismissal processes.
- Organise and update employee files.
- Act as the liaison between employees and management.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: R35,000.00 - R48,000.00 per month
