Hotel Maintenance Supervisor

The Onyx Hotel & Residences is seeking to employ a Maintenance Supervisor.

The purpose of the role is to ensure that the hotel facilities, guest areas and guest rooms are maintained in working order through leading the maintenance team in the delivery of maintenance services. Guest rooms and public area entry-level preventative maintenance are included. The Maintenance Supervisor will also perform some repairs on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and kitchen equipment etc.

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Accountability for the proactive and preventative maintenance of the hotel property within budget requirements and capital expenditure.
- Ensure room care programme is maintained.
- Effectively supervising maintenance department employees in order that they may maximise their potential and effectiveness.
- Responds to all building related safety concerns.
- Deals with guest related concerns.
- Maintain the guest rooms, public space, and back of the hotel areas in good repair by performing various tasks related to a variety of trades including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, air conditioning, painting, wall covering and tiling to ensure an attractive and well-maintained hotel.
- Ensure cleaning and maintenance of pool.
- Controlling the budget accordingly.
- Controlling of casual budget.
- Ensure inventory and material stock requirements reported to maintenance manager
- Responsible for the maintenance of fixed assets care
- Responsible for protection of company assets.
- Supervising external contractors.
- Supports hotel departmental maintenance programs and executes daily, weekly and monthly checklists.
- Maintains departmental compliance with hotel maintenance procedures.
- Responsible for the health and safety of employees and Hotel guests.
- Facilitating project maintenance in conjunction with maintenance manager particular reference to refurbishments.
- Reports directly to maintenance manager.
- Must have previous related experience.
