What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it)

You will be responsible for the monthly processing of suppliers and petty cash, rental invoices, payroll and any other ad hoc duties to assist the Group FM and Accountants.

Where you’ll be doing it

Our client owns a group of hospitals, with a down-to-earth, fun and diverse team of professionals with office is based in Durbanville and you’ll be working in a happy, stable family orientated environment. The role is Monday to Friday, in office and the hours are Monday to Thursday 7am - 15:30, Friday 7am - 13:00 or Monday to Thursday 07:30 - 16:00, Friday 7am to 13:30. A lovely lunch is provided daily and a kitchen with goodies for their employees.

What you’ll need

The non negotiable requirements are that we’re looking for someone with at least a Diploma in Finance/Bookkeeping and minimum of 3 years Bookkeeping experience. You’ll need to be experienced in payroll (you’ll be running payroll for around 60 odd employees), you’ll need Pastel, VIP and strong Excel experience. You will also need to be fluent in Afrikaans.

**What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it)**

You will report to the Financial Manager and be responsible for managing the bookkeeping functions for a group of companies. Your responsibilities will cover the General Ledger - mgt account analyses, petty cash and cost analysis reports. You will also be responsible for Debtors, Creditors, Cashbook, Invoicing and Payroll (including time sheets)

**What you’ll need**

We’re looking for someone with at least a Diploma in Finance/Bookkeeping with 4 years Bookkeeping experience. Your experience will be in reconciliations, creditors, debtors and company accounts. You also possess advanced MS Excel skills (creating spreadsheets and using financial functions) and are experienced working on accounting software. Preference for someone who has worked on Pastel and VIP Payroll but as long as you have experience in a similar package that can work. You will also need to be fluent in Afrikaans.
