The Peer Navigators will be responsible for engaging with and inviting men in the study communities to test for HIV at our mobile HIV testing venues, which will be stationed at various sites in the Dimbaza, Mdantsane and Duncan Village areas.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Grade 12 Certificate
- Data entry capturing experience
- Communication skills (verbal and written)
- Fluency in English and or Afrikaans and or IsiXhosa
- Previous participant engagement experience
- Computer literacy (Ms Office)
- Ability to take initiative
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work with teams and independently
- Good planning and organising
- Time management

**Advantageous**:

- Work experience in the community within the health sector
- Experience in working with male adolescents and youth
- Basic
- knowledge of public health and community resources
- Able to assist with community meetings

**Responsibilities**:

- Utilise appropriate script to invite men in the vicinity of mobile sites to test for HIV
- Facilitate randomisation of participants by giving out appropriate messaging on the day
- Relate to participants in a friendly and non-judgmental manner
- Guide participants to where the mobile site is stationed on the day, where they can access HCT services
- Participate in staff meetings and appropriate training workshops as organized and required by the project
- Maintain research participant confidentiality
- Perform all activities according to Good Clinical Practice Standards
- Work in a consistently ethical manner
- Provide report back during weekly site meetings
- Communicate ongoing issues, concerns, successes to the Line Manager
