CREDITORS CLERK - Basic plus benefits

Permanent Position

Strand, Western Cape

Our client is looking for a creditor’s clerk to be responsible for processing invoices received for payment and for undertaking the payment of creditors in an accurate efficient and timely manner.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Carrying out accounting and administrative duties such as the processing and payment of vendor’s invoices.

Reconciliation of statements, follow up on unpaid vendors.

Obtaining statements and invoices.

Provide bookkeeping and clerical support to all financial functions.

Verify discrepancies with suppliers’ statements and resolve queries and issues.

Check accuracy and correct allocation of site documentation.

Ensure that supplier data basis is kept to date.

Ad hoc tasks and queries.

**Requirements**:
Matric or a related qualification on a NQF4 level.

Strong computer skills and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

2 Years’ experience in similar position.

Solid understanding of accounts payable principles.

Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers.

Proficiency in English.

High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

Financial experience in a construction environment will be beneficial.
