Be responsible and available as a Packer for all factory requirements daily by using the following tools for the task (Counterbalance and Reach truck forklift, strapping machine, Wrapping Machine and Roll lifting device). Responbilities
1. Prepare cores
2. Collect, make and maintain cartons stock levels where required
3. Wrap all Slit rolls
4. Ensure that all labels correspond with the correct production order
5. Add the correct weight specification on the roll after wrapping
6. Keep area clear of all unwanted items such as pallets, waste cores and scrap
7. Strap and/or cover cores for all completed production and move to the finished goods holding area
8. Ensure that all return to stores material has the production order information, weight, size, label and move it to the holding area
9. Responsible for the dumping of all scrap
10. Cleaning of the area of responsibility
11. Assist the factory with forklift requirements as and when required Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge
- Minimum Matric/Grade 12
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a FMCG manufacturing
- Computer literacy
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure
- Flexibility
- Accurate and precision
- Great housekeeping ability
