**About the Company**

At SkilledUp Life, we provide free volunteer opportunities to individuals by pairing them with British Tech Companies. We help them build work experience and improve their career prospects. We currently have over 29,000 volunteers from over 100 countries who have used SkilledUp Life to build work experience and have utilized SkilledUp Life to land their dream job.

**About the Opportunity**

We would like to provide opportunities for volunteers to work with our growing team. We need someone to support the creation of a model to forecast traffic flows based on a machine learning analysis of historical traffic flows.

The task includes:

- Validation of historical data (comparison of data sets)
- Disaggregation of data
- Reconstruction of data to be used for short (next hour) medium (next week) and long (next 3 months) forecasts
- The forecast will them be used as part of Scenario planning to create contingency plans for transport operations

**Our needs**
- Fluent in English
- Undergraduate degree or similar education in computer science
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent computer skills / record keeping.

**Activities**

Working with our engineers and other volunteers. Your volunteer role includes:

- Using data cleaning tools
- Analysing large data sets.
- Creating models.
- Validation of models.
- Testing models with real world data.

**Acquired Work Experience**

This is a wonderful opportunity to work with an innovative SME in a High Skill Sector of the economy. It will help kickstart your career journey in the field of AI and Machine Learning. You will get an opportunity to practise a range of different AI/ML methods.
