An exciting opportunity has opened for a Mine Overseer to manage and oversee multiple aspects of an underground gold mine site.
**Responsibilities**:
- Manage, lead and motivate team to safely achieve targets
- Ensure conformance with mine safety standards
- Ensure legal compliance
- Resource planning
- Managing contractors
- Cost control
- Building strong relationships with key stakeholders including Health & Safety Department, Shift Bosses, TMM Engineer, Shaft Engineer, Section Manager, Mining Manager, other Mine Overseers, Technical Service Functions and HR
**Requirements**:Qualification and Skill**_ _**
- Grade 12
- Mine Overseer Certificate of Competence
- Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competence highly advantageous
- 10 years U/G mining experience
- Previous gold mine or hard rock experience
- 5 years’ experience with Vertical shaft operations
- Thorough knowledge of MS Office
- Strong leadership and management capabilities
- Medically fit
