This role is primarily an operational role. The incumbent is responsible to ensure that all raw materials, packaging and traded items are supplied to production on time, in the correct quality, at the correct price, in the correct quantity, and at the correct station.

To maintain the Pastel/MRP system so that the correct information is always reflected in the system. This will include date management, backorder management, quantity management and closing off of completed purchase orders.

**Responsibilities**:

- Determining the required materials and generating Purchase Orders.
- Ensuring consistent and adequate supply of materials necessary for production.
- Tracking production volumes and monitoring customer demand patterns.
- Scheduling and overseeing the supply and delivery of materials.
- Liaising with suppliers (local and international) and distributors.
- Managing inventory issues, schedule changes, and cancellations.
- Booking, Tracking and clearing of inbound Raw Materials from International Suppliers reviewing and interpreting BOM due to Engineering Changes.
- Coordinating with production, Engineering, Quality and purchasing to attain production and project goals.
- Implementing internal material control systems, 5S and safety measures for RM and Intermediate stores.
- Production Planning
- Generate Daily Stock Reports on WIP, Raw Materials. Liaising with production on critical parts and schedule changes at start of shift. Monitoring adherence to production plan. Weekly Production scheduling and daily production updating of the production board

**Essential Skills**
- Able to build and maintain effective and productive relationships with staff, stakeholders and suppliers.
- Good communication, negotiation, interpersonal and influencing skills.
- Ability to run an ERP system on excel.
- Analytical, numerically astute with strong demonstrated problem-solving abilities.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Able to work well under pressure and handle emergency and stressful situations.
- Familiarity with an integrated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system would be beneficial.

**Skills/Qualifications**
- National Diploma/ Degree in Production/ operations Management, logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Similar operational experience exceeding 5 years in Manufacturing environment.
- Advanced knowledge of supply chain processes especially in warehouse & material flows.

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Gauteng, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
