Key Responsibilities:_**

- **Supervise and lead a team of carpenters, providing guidance and support as needed**
***
- **Plan and coordinate carpentry projects, ensuring that all work is completed on time and within budget**
***
- **Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements**
***
- **Measure and mark cutting lines on materials, using rulers, pencils, chalk, and marking gauges**
***
- **Cut, shape, and join materials using hand and power tools, such as saws, drills, and sanders**
***
- **Install structures and fixtures, such as windows, frames, floorings, and trim**
***
- **Inspect and ensure the quality of work performed by the team**
***
- **Train and mentor new carpenters on the team**
***
- **Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations**
***
- **Communicate with project managers and other team members to provide updates on project progress**

Qualifications:_**

- **High school diploma or equivalent**
***
- **Minimum of 5 years of experience in carpentry, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role**
***
- **Extensive knowledge of carpentry techniques and tools**
***
- **Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications**
***
- **Strong leadership and communication skills**
***
- **Excellent time management and organizational skills**
***
- **Ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment**
***
- **Must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces**
***
- **Must be physically fit and able to lift heavy objects**
***
- **Knowledge of maritime safety regulations is an asset**
