Carpenter/handyman

**Job Title**: Carpenter/Handyman

**Location**: Cape Town, South Africa

**Reports To**: Operations Manager

**Summary**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Install and repair wooden structures, such as doors, windows, and cabinets.
- Build and repair furniture.
- Lay flooring and install roofing.
- Perform general maintenance and repairs on buildings and structures.
- Follow blueprints and building plans.
- Maintain occupational safety standards.
- Work with other tradespeople, such as electricians and plumbers.
- Other duties as assigned.

- They will also be a team player who is able to work well with others and communicate effectively.
- They should be able to work in a variety of environments, including indoors and outdoors.
- They should be physically fit and able to lift and carry heavy objects.
- They should also be able to work long hours and meet deadlines.

**Qualifications**:

- Full qualifications in carpentry or a related trade.
- 5+ years of experience in carpentry and/or general maintenance.
- Valid driver's license.
- Excellent woodworking skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and fit.
- Passionate about woodworking and has a keen eye for detail.
- Reliable and trustworthy.
- A good communicator and problem solver.
- Safety conscious and always follows safety procedures.
- Willing to learn new things and take on new challenges.
