Ict Technician

**Key Performance Areas**:

- Manage the school’s IT infrastructure to ensure that the availability, capacity and performance levels are sufficient to support the teaching and learning, management and administration objectives of the school.
- Monitor the use of hardware and software and ensure that all software is licensed.
- Responsible for the school’s IT budget.
- Implement a regular maintenance and upgrade program, ensuring appropriate ‘housekeeping’ tasks are completed.
- Provide support and guidance to pupils and staff in the use of IT.
- Maintain a database of all IT equipment**.**
- Set up laptops/computers for new staff.
- Deal with helpdesk queries for all staff relating to PCs, laptops, printers, projectors, iPads, smart boards etc.
- Manage the printers in terms of ordering toner and calling technicians for support.

**Requirements**:

- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2012 or higher, macOS, ChromeOS, Linux, Android and iOS operating systems as well as various software packages including Pastel Partner, Google Suite.
- Networking and network administration experience.
- Server administration experience.
- Excellent IT skills and computer literacy.
- Previous experience within a customer service role.
- Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with non-technical staff at all levels in the School

**Salary**: R15,000.00 - R22,000.00 per month
