Receptionist and Reservationists - Luxury All-Suite 4* Hotel - Umhlanga

We are currently seeking experienced and customer-focused individuals to join our clients team as Receptionists and Reservationists for a prestigious luxury all-suite hotel in Umhlanga, South Africa. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a pre-opening team and contribute to the success of their hotel.

As a Receptionist or Reservationist, you will be the first point of contact for their guests, providing exceptional service and handling reservations with precision and efficiency. Your excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and experience working on Opera will be key in delivering a seamless and memorable guest experience.

Responsibilities: Receptionist:

- Greet guests with a warm and friendly demeanor, providing a positive first impression
- Handle guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently, ensuring accuracy and adherence to hotel procedures
- Respond to guest inquiries, providing information about the hotel facilities, services, and local attractions
- Assist with guest requests, such as arranging transportation, making restaurant reservations, and coordinating special requests
- Handle guest complaints or issues promptly and satisfactorily, escalating as necessary
- Maintain a tidy and organized front desk area, including the accurate handling of cash and credit card transactions
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and effective communication

Reservationist:

- Manage all aspects of the reservation process, including inputting and updating guest information in the Opera system
- Process reservation requests, modifications, and cancellations with attention to detail and adherence to hotel policies
- Maximize room revenue by upselling and offering promotional packages to guests
- Maintain a thorough understanding of room types, rates, and availability
- Collaborate with the Front Office team to ensure a seamless guest experience from reservation to check-in

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience as a Receptionist, Front Desk Agent, or Reservationist in a luxury hotel or resort
- Proficiency in using the Opera POS is essential
- Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to anticipate and fulfill guest needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English (additional languages are advantageous)
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Detail-oriented mindset, with a high level of accuracy in handling reservations and guest information
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Previous experience in a pre-opening environment is preferred
