**BIOVAC** is one of the leading sterile vaccine manufacturers rooted in Africa, with our core purpose being to "protect life". We are looking to hire a dynamic, passionate, confident, proactive and meticulous IT Infrastructure Manager to join a goal-oriented team.

**QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED**:

- Bachelors degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, CCNA, MCSE) are highly desirable.

**NECESSARY EXPERIENCE & INDUSTRY KNOWLEDGE**:

- 7-10 Years Experience in managerial level of similar role.
- Proven experience 7-10 years in managing IT infrastructure and operations, preferably in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of network architecture, servers, storage systems, databases, virtualization, cloud computing, and telecommunications.
- Proficiency in IT service management principles and methodologies, with experience using ITSM tools and frameworks.

**KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE**:

- IT Infrastructure Management: Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company's IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage systems, databases, and telecommunications.
- Ensure high availability, reliability, and security of infrastructure components.
- IT Operations Management: Manage day-to-day IT operations, including system administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident response.
- Ensure timely and effective resolution of incidents and service requests to minimize disruptions and downtime.
- Vendor and Service Provider Management: Establish and maintain relationships with external vendors and service providers.
- Ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs), negotiate contracts, and oversee procurement of IT infrastructure equipment and services.
- IT Service Management: Implement and manage IT service management (ITSM) processes, including incident management, problem management, change management, and configuration management.
- Ensure adherence to ITIL best practices and drive continuous improvement in service delivery.
- Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans for IT systems and infrastructure.
- Conduct regular testing and simulations to validate the effectiveness of plans and ensure the organization's ability to recover from disruptions.
- Performance Monitoring and Capacity Planning: Monitor and analyze IT infrastructure performance, capacity, and utilization.
- Proactively identify bottlenecks, performance issues, and capacity constraints. Plan and implement infrastructure upgrades and enhancements to meet business needs.
- Compliance and Security: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies related to IT infrastructure and operations.
- Implement and enforce security measures to protect data, systems, and infrastructure from unauthorized access and cyber threats.
- Project Management: Lead IT infrastructure projects, such as system upgrades, migrations, and technology deployments.
- Develop project plans, allocate resources, monitor progress, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to specifications.
- Team Leadership and Development: Provide leadership, guidance, and mentoring to the IT infrastructure and operations team.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture, promote professional development, and ensure effective utilization of resources.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in IT infrastructure and operations.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and innovation.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
