The Technical Specialist: User Technology - will act in a tactical and operational role within the Enterprise IT team. The role will entail the research, management, configuration and testing of the latest IT hardware in the end user compute segment. The role shall also be responsible for research into the latest technological advancements in the Mobile Device, Operating System, and browser end user space. The role shall evolve with emphasis on providing technical insight, guidance on the mobile device technology stack. The role with require a strong technical understanding of the Mobile device landscape and IT hardware tools.

The role will engage directly with internal stakeholders to provide the best possible IT hardware solutions to ensure all users are able to deliver maximum value within their roles. The role will work closely with the Game Technology teams and internal gaming studios. The role will be responsible for the future proofing of end user compute hardware, and providing recommendations to the business, with a focus on continuous improvement in user hardware technology space.

The role will work in a dynamic, fast paced environment which provides service to the entire Games Global organisation, through effective and efficient collaboration.

Customer satisfaction and continuously service delivery are key aspects of the role.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Communicate changes and updates of End User hardware to all stakeholders.
- End user hardware roadmap deployment and tactical execution, ensuring integration with the wider Infrastructure roadmap and IT strategy.
- Design and implement a world class end user compute experience for internal stakeholders.
- Manage and execute the greater, end user IT hardware strategy.
- Perform continuous evaluations and improvements of IT hardware specification profiles.
- Technical oversight and management of networked Virtual Conference facilities.
- Investigate and monitor mean time between failure (MTBR) on end user IT equipment - with continuous improvements in place to mitigate risks.
- Drive technical governance and process alignment.
- Provide input to and execute a technical hardware advancement roadmap for end user equipment with update cycles aligned to the latest technological innovation in the industry.
- End user compute IT Asset and inventory management at a global office level.
- Provide oversight and act as system administrator for a global inventory management system.
- Collaborate with the Software Specialist - Devices in the overall, operational management of the Device kiosk and global Device Farm location.
- Manage inventory levels and maintain adequate stock levels aligned to the IT equipment budget, overall business growth and continuity.
- Engage with the greater Enterprise IT team, on operating system, security, and infrastructure.
- Active Directory and Okta administrator, service management for Device kiosk and farms.
- Collaboration with the IT Technology Sourcing and Services team for IT hardware and gaming mobile test devices.
- Execute the IT hardware and gaming mobile device procurement strategy.
- Provide guidance and assistance to global teams in end user IT hardware procurement.
- Investigate and source industry leading IT equipment for internal end users
- Manage and perform the role of company system administrator for the internal mobile device kiosk tool in collaboration with the Software Specialist - Devices.
- Perform maintenance and technical on-site support to the Device farm tool.
- Perform hardware technical assessments and develop internal proof of concepts for the introduction of new end user equipment into the business.
- Improve customer service, perception, and satisfaction.
- Engage with multiple teams, including international teams where required.
- Provide input into the creation and execution of IT hardware related business processes.
- 7+ years’ experience working with IT hardware and system software.
- 5+ years’ experience working with Mobile device technology stack.
- Knowledge of Linux, MacOS and Windows operating systems
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure Active Directory, Okta, and security protocols.
- Experience with Cloud based technology.
- Undergraduate diploma / degree (preferred).
