**Conversion/Bagging Machine Operator (Plastic Bag Making Machines)** - **Maitland, Cape Town - Approximately R37.00/hour**

Packaging Solutions Company seeks skilled and dedicated Conversion/Bagging Machine Operators with experience in operating plastic bag-making machines. As a Conversion/Bagging Machine Operator, you will be responsible for the efficient operation of our bag-making machinery to ensure the production of high-quality plastic bags.

**Responsibilities**:

- Set up, operate, and monitor plastic bag-making machines to produce bags according to specifications, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
- Perform routine equipment inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal machine performance and minimize downtime.
- Adjust machine settings, such as speed, temperature, and cutting dimensions, as required to meet production requirements.
- Monitor and control the bag-making process, including material feeding, sealing, cutting, and stacking.
- Conduct regular quality checks and inspections to verify product specifications, identifying and resolving any issues that may affect product quality.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, perform minor repairs and escalate complex issues to the maintenance team when necessary.
- Follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Collaborate with the production team to meet production targets and deadlines.
- Document production data, including material usage, machine settings, and downtime, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or quality concerns to the supervisor.

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience as a Conversion/Bagging Machine Operator, preferably with experience in operating plastic bag-making machines.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and technical understanding of bag-making processes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and operating manuals.
- Attention to detail and ability to perform quality checks to ensure product compliance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machine malfunctions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and meet production targets.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
