IT Technician

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented IT Technician to join the team in Franschhoek. As part of the small team, you will work closely with staff, suppliers, and occasionally hotel guests to ensure seamless IT operations in the 5-star hospitality environment. You must have Matric with some experience working with Microsoft Windows, smart TVs, and smartphones; Interest in and aptitude for working with technology, computers, and IT systems. You must have a valid driver’s license and own transport and reside in or very near Fraschhoek.

**Salary**: R12 000 - R18 000 ctc pm

Area: Franschhoek - Onsite

Key Responsibilities:

- IT System Management: Monitor and maintain the IT infrastructure, ensuring the integrity and availability of backups, server resources, systems, and key processes.
- Hardware Installation and Configuration: Install, clone, and configure new and existing PCs/Laptops, as well as IT equipment such as printers.
- Support and Escalation: Provide 1st level support and escalate issues that are not 1st level. Liaise with guests, staff, vendors, and IT personnel as needed.
- Learning and Development: Be prepared to learn on the job and gain skills and understanding of our IT systems across the property.
- On-Call Support: Be available to support guest-facing systems on standby after hours and at weekends as required.

**Requirements**:

- Education: Matric
- Interest and Aptitude: Interest in and aptitude for working with technology, computers, and IT systems
- Technical Experience: Some experience working with Microsoft Windows, smart TVs, and smartphones
- Communication Skills: English literacy
- Health and Safety: Good health
- Transportation: Valid driver’s license for driving in South Africa and own transport
