**Responsibilities**:

- **Vehicle Maintenance**:

- Perform routine maintenance tasks and check throughs of all vehicles.
- Troubleshoot issues found and fix the issues.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
- Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, and other mechanical components.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues, including wiring, lighting systems, and electronic controls on vehicle.
- Perform brake system repairs and adjustments, including drum and disc brakes.
- Inspect and repair suspension systems, steering components.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work.
- **Vehicle Repairs**:

- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical faults.
- Utilize diagnostic equipment to identify and troubleshoot problems.
- Perform engine overhauls and rebuilds as needed.
- Repair and replace hydraulic systems, including hoses, pumps, and cylinders.
- Weld and fabricate components as required.
- Adhere to safety procedures and regulations.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**:

- High school certificate or equivalent
- Technical certification in automotive or heavy-duty vehicle mechanics.
- **Experience**:

- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a mechanic, preferably in the bus or truck industry.
- Proven track record of diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical and electrical systems.
- **Skills**:

- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license.
