What will you do?

A newly created role for a Social Media Assistant exists within the Santam Brand team at our Head Office in Cape Town.

Support the implementation of social media strategy, and communication campaigns that aligns with brand and marketing strategies
Schedule and maintain monthly content plans, managing stakeholder approval according to Santam’s Brand Governance policy
Support the Social Media Manager to manage customer feedback on social media channels (according to SLA) and report to on services and reputational performance to key internal stakeholder functions (including weekends and public holidays)
Provide support and insights to drive engaging and relevant content, including image and video as required
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure excellent service delivery and a quality social media service standards
Stay abreast of social media tools and industry trends
Adherence to tone, style guides and social media policy as set by Santam’s brand policy and corporate identity guidelines
Support the monthly reporting of the brands reputational and service performance in social media channels
Aid the social media manager in reviewing existing social media processes, technology and align with best practice.
Support in building the social media capabilities of the future. Qualification and Experience

Relevant Marketing qualification.
2-3 years relevant experience in a marketing/social media environment. Knowledge and Skills

Ability to respond effectively in a pressurized environment.
A good team player with the ability to engage effectively at varying levels
The ability to build and maintain good relationships.
Good understanding of Social platforms and tools
Familiar with online reputational management tools and technology
Writing skills
Computer literacy
Social media monitoring tools (Sprout, Hootsuite, etc.)
Google apps
Assertiveness
Proactive
Mature, empathetic and resilient
Time management
