**Business Need/Purpose of Role**:
The Synertrex Roaming technician will manage all the day-to-day maintenance and service-related duties within the Synertrex realm and customer site contracts where applicable. This position ensures that end users are provided with value added solutions to drive uptime through digital driven technology(Synertrex Wireless Solution) ensuring value added initiatives with accuracy obtained from real time data captured

And aiding in extension of life cycles and proactive maintenance of plant equipment(all Weir equipment with the capability of being monitored through Synertrex)

**Job Requirements**:
**Minimum Qualifications**:

- Matric (Grade 12) or N3 certificate or equivalent
- A technical qualification e.g. Mechanical and/or qualified artisan, preferably in the Millwright trade
- Valid driver’s licence

**Minimum Experience**:

- 5 years post qualification experience in a mining/manufacturing environment
- Condition monitoring/vibration analysis
- Condition monitoring experience in the mining industry and/or in a manufacturing environment (pump/process manufacturing environment would be an advantage)
- Exposure to and implementation of lean manufacturing
- Implementation and maintenance of the OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 standards

**Key Tasks**:

- Grow business and acquire new business and/or customers
- Ensure invoices targets are achieved and spares forecast
- Ensure Weir policies and procedures are adhered to in the on existing and future sites
- Control of documentation and record keeping
- Improve the service capabilities around Synertrex platform to meet Weir group standards
- Maintain quality and standards within the Synertrex Roaming Role.
- Offer new products and value adding to contract by identifying opportunities.
- Provide technical support to both internal and external clients
- Ensure all work is of a high quality and standard
- Assist in sustaining lean management through auditing
- Develop, maintain and improve all processes
- Optimise and set up programmes to improve equipment effectiveness
- Spares forecast
- Manage the execution and maintenance of Synertrex installs ,existing and new
- Continuous improvements in Lean and Kaizen
- Ensure adherence to all SHE and housekeeping requirements at the branch at all times
- Ensure adherence to Duty of Care Policy at all times

**Minimum Skills/Abilities**:

- Computer literate
- Advanced MS Office Suite and ERP software
- Excellent business communication on all levels
- Ability to analyze and interpret data, including technical data
- Project management skills
- Ability to deal with difficult customers and respond promptly to customer needs
- Ability to define and solve problems in a timely manner
- Ability to work under pressure and according to tight deadlines within a very complex organizational structure
