Qualifications:

- To be considered for this role, you should have a matric certificate, with a Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Business management or a related field

**Professional Expertise**:

- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in merchandise planning within the retail sector is required.
- Merchandise experience within FMCG is beneficial, along with a proven track record of managing stock files to meet budget and targets.

**What will you be doing?**

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain merchandise plans based on historical data, current trends, and sales goals
- Forecast sales, inventory levels, and markdowns to ensure optimal inventory turnover
- Collaborate with the buying team to develop assortment plans and make buying decisions
- Monitor and analyse sales performance, inventory levels, and margin goals
- Identify opportunities for growth and recommend strategies to increase profitability
- Work with vendors to ensure timely delivery and availability of products
- Review and adjust merchandise plans based on market conditions and business goals
- Communicate regularly with cross-functional teams to align on business objectives and priorities
