**Role Purpose**

Lead the Studio team by providing strategically sound, insightful and creative guidance that will enable the team to conceptualise, create and deliver excellent creative solutions for all briefs, whilst building their capabilities; and ensuring all processes are followed and jobs are delivered on time and in full.

**Requirements**:

- A qualification in graphic design/UX or equivalent
- 8 -10 years of experience as a creative lead
- Proven track record and portfolio of successful creative campaigns.
- Technical knowledge and proficiency of design software essential, especially Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat), collaborative interface design tool (such as Figma), project management tool (such as Asana), as well as design understanding of Microsoft Office (Word and PowerPoint).
- Possesses knowledge of print materials and understands which print vehicles are the best given the particular requirement of each brief.
- Proficient in making recommendation ito design and creative that matches our communication channels.

**Duties & Responsibilities**

**Strategy**
- Ability to interpret the client’s brief in such a way that an effective balance is achieved between creative output vs meeting key strategic deliverables/business objectives.
- Deep understanding of the business, brand and marketing objectives of the MMH brand, as well as those of all our clients.; in particular key strategic clients like Group Exco, Group Finance, Human Capital, Group IT, Transformation, and Sustainability.
- Thorough knowledge of the MMH brand CI, and of the other brands in our organisation which we support and service.

**Day to Day**
- Briefing all jobs into Studio and/or an external Agency (when the need arises).
- Ensure proper process is followed with briefing documents being completed by clients via the Marketing Managers, for all requests that require a designer (not just the big jobs/projects).
- Review each client brief and engage the relevant stakeholders for clarity and understanding where the requirements are not crystal clear.
- Facilitate an internal creative review process to ensure creative outputs are on brief and meet creative benchmarks before the work is presented to client.
- Proofing and reviewing all accompanying documents with the creative work before they are issued to client.
- Be aware of all deadlines and prioritise multiple deliverables with similar deadlines (together with the Traffic Manager).
- Proofing and reviewing all design reverts before they are issued to client.
- Outsource work to external agencies and/or freelancers where necessary/relevant to meet brief objectives
Briefing outsourced agency/freelancer and managing creative outputs as per internal process of providing input and reviews.
- Participate in initial concept brainstorming with the design team to add creative guidance and solutions that are consistent with the Brand comms strategy and CI.
- Present prepared mockups for the purpose of mutual proofing and critique with stakeholders.
- Oversee finalisation and refinement of final designs after client input.
- Liaise with the Production Manager on all production requirements, to ensure deadlines are met, and quality of collateral is consistently of the highest standards.
- Solution oriented in executing design jobs within the constraints of cost and time.
- Participate and contribute to a culture which builds rewarding relationships, facilitates feedback and provides exceptional client service.
- Keep abreast of design trends and keep the Design Team updated as to how to integrate into their work.
- Arrange and facilitate design workshops/events, or similar, to inspire and motivate designers to continuously challenge themselves to produce great work.
- Manage expectations by keeping project owner abreast of any development that may impact timings and deadlines.
- Enhance department and organisation’s reputation by establishing innovative solutions and exploring opportunities to add value to the Momentum Metropolitan brand.
- Daily review of workloads with the Traffic Manager:
- Ensure that the appropriate talent is allocated to each job and that workloads are evenly maintained.
