Travel Support Specialist Europe

As an expert in the travel market, you will use your knowledge, experience and know how to deliver best-in-class service specific to Travel, working to achieve the goals and objectives of the **Europe **Market**.
You will be responsible for completing reissues and refunds for our Travel Lifestyle Managers as well as handling all traffic that is coming through the BSP Link. Therefore, you are responsible for handling ADM and ACM investigations and communication to the relevant parties. In addition to the mentioned responsibilities, you will support our Finance Team in completing the open folder balances and reconciling tasks and update our accounting tool with ticketing data. Your exceptional comprehension of the GDS booking technology and passion for travel, will help to drive supplier revenue results through utilizing relationships and/or contracts to achieve peak performance within Travel.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Booking and setting up of confirmations of dedicated Travelling requests using PPP, Amadeus, Tenmaid and TTS.
- Preparation of tailor-made offers outside of the dedicated Travelling program.
- Handling reissues and refunds as per direction of our Travel Lifestyle Managers of flights in Amadeus, Farelogix and BSP Link.
- Handling ADM and ACM investigations and disputes (before and after billing).
- Assisting Finance Department with travel-related finance tasks (e.g. open balances, reconciling)
- Rail bookings
- Handling of online reward flight bookings
- Handling platform activation requests from members
- Updating of member profiles with loyalty program membership numbers
- First line of support for Global Disaster Recovery
- Part of the core global 24/7 coverage for Travel Operations as a Travel Support Specialist

**Requirements**:
**Education/Experience**:

- Certificate or Diploma in Tourism and/or Travel or equivalent industry experience.
- Minimum 3 years experience within the Travel and Aviation industry, with outstanding and in-depth knowledge of the airline industry, policies, and fare structures.
- Minimum of 2 years of **GDS experience** booking Domestic & International Flights including Published and NetFares; Amadeus preferred
- Well-travelled with a good international understanding of different destinations, with a good international understanding of different destinations, especially within **Switzerland and Europe**

**Systems Knowledge**
- Amadeus [in all regions where we have GDS in place]
- Travel Back-Office System
- CRM [Ten Maid]
- Travel Portals / Systems as required [i.e. eGlobalFares]
- Comprehensive knowledge of Office Word, MS Outlook Knowledge
- Experience using Microsoft 365 advantageous

- **Fluent in English,** both written and spoken ; additional _German _language skill beneficial but not a must
- Ability to be able to perform work accurately and thoroughly independently

- **Flexibility **to work weekends/early/late shifts in order for our team to provide 24/7 service to our Lifestyle Managers is a must. Hours can vary from 7:00 - 22:00 SA local time

**Guidelines for Hybrid/Home Office option**:

- Located in South Africa
- Please note that if you live within a commutable distance of the office you will be asked to enter into a hybrid working arrangement, with up to 75% Home Office possibility.
- A secure home office at your confirmed address, free from background noise or other distractions
