**Job Description - Carpenter Foreman/Manager**

Carpenter Manager (CM) will be responsible for managing carpenter related activities on multiple housing projects.

The CM will plan and focus on all carpenter related phases of the project, scheduling, cost controls, managing staff and sub-contractors, materials management, monitoring and reporting.
The CM will report to the Project Manager.

**Key roles and responsibilities**:

- Should be able to manage and coordinate (plan, execute and monitor) day to day site operations and document daily activities.
- Time and project management.
- Ensure that company quality standards and goals are met.
- Monitoring and reporting of programme.
- Calculate, order and manage materials for all phases of the projects.
- Site reporting to management.
- Improve systems, upskill site staff to meet job requirements.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with regulatory building and safety regulations.

**Requirements**:

- **Proven working experience of at least 5-years in carpenter related activities. Specifically boxing, formwork, roofs, decking and general carpentry.**
- Construction related qualification will be advantageous.
- Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods.
- Understanding of all facets of the construction process.
- Familiarity with basic construction management software packages typically Microsoft Office.
- Competent in conflict and crisis management.
- Excellent time and project management skills.
- Fluent in Afrikaans and English. Xhosa or Zulu will be advantageous.
- Valid driver’s license.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From R15,000.00 per month
