Learner Technician

**How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?**:
The role of the Learner Technician [Instrument/Electrical] is to provide support for the Maintenance Department of ALLI Operations.
**Mains tasks the to perform is**:

- **Instrumentation/Electrical Learner Technician is responsible for the reliability and optimization and or efficiency of the plant.**
- **In close collaboration with the production team, lead or assist troubleshooting efforts associated with instrumentation equipment to avoid or minimize production upsets and downtimes.**
- **In coordination with the Maintenance Manager, plan, coordinate maintenance/upgrade services on all instrumentation equipment i.e analysers, control valves, transmitters, RTDs, etc.**
- **Demonstrate personal commitment to Health, Safety and Environment by following HSE AL Group Policy.**
- **Develop knowledge about field equipments and how they are used in the process**
- **Diagnose causes of equipment malfunction**
- **Ensure Instrumentation equipment failures are attended to as soon as practicable**
- **Assist is reduction of plant downtime / and increasing reliability**
- **Ensure quality and IMS procedures are followed and documentation completed.**
- **Adhere to food safety prerequisite programmes (PRPs), SOP's and the food safety management system when maintaining and/or calibrating equipment and instruments.**
- **Minimize shutdown time by planning and controlling allocated tasks.**
- **Participate in investigating and taking corrective actions in the event of failures and or incidents. Ensuring that Air Liquide’s safety policy is applied by executing scheduled inspections.**
- **Develops layout drawings, and engineering specifications for system or equipment modifications or expansion, and directs personnel performing routine installation and maintenance duties**
- **Ensure all Safety inspections are completed and up to date for the instrumentation systems and equipments.**
- **Ensure quality procedures are followed and documentation completed.**
- **Responsible for the spare parts strategy.**
- **Ensure plant availability of 99% and higher for Sasol Synfuels as per contractual agreement.**
- **Assist Process Team as well Process SMEs to optimize process control loops and develop efficiency and SIO projects.**
- **In coordination with the Maintenance Manager, plan, coordinate maintenance/upgrade services on all process controllers, Security Systems, SCADA, PLC, APC etc.**
- **Understand and implement Air Liquide cyber security rules and practices.**
