**About the role**:
To translate, edit and proofread Medihelp’s communication and marketing material in order to promote Medihelp’s image.

**Essential functions of the job**:
Manage the electronic information service at Medihelp.
Maintain the language policy as well as polices relating to Medihelp’ electronic corporate libraries.
Translate documents such as newsletters, annual reports, media releases, web content, marketing material,
correspondence with clients, document and minutes for the BOT meetings, the Rules of Medihelp and from Afrikaans to
English and vice versa.
Ensure that Medihelp style for the relevant target marketing is applied in the translation.
Read for clarity and sense and identify problems of clarity or accuracy.
Re-write copy where necessary if the original text is unusable.
Upload and delete information on MediSearch and the Medihelp Corporate Library (MCL),and maintain both systems.
Update the Medihelp business filing index.
Train users on request in the operation of MediSearch and the MCL.
Distribute relevant information documents to top management as well as BOT, e.g. circulars issued by the CMS

**Qualification and experience**:
As appropriate qualification in translation with Afrikaans and/or English as major or post-graduate degree in linguistics, with 2-4 years translation experience and experience in information systems. Must be registered with SATI.

**Skills and knowledge**:
Excellent communication skills in both English and Afrikaans.
Computer literate in MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat.
Building trust and positive working relationships.
Knowledge of the Rules and benefits of Medihelp.
Translation practice and editing techniques, in particular plain writing principals.
Information classification systems.
Technical and professional knowledge and skills.
Quality standard and attention to detail.
