A well-known Environmental Company requires the above to undertake and manage air quality monitoring fieldwork, analyse AQ data and compile and review reports, process and format monitoring data and performing emissions inventory calculations.
**Minimum requirements for the role**:

- A BSc honours degree or higher in Environmental Science or Geography or Meteorology or related qualification is essential for this role.
- Previous experience performing spatial and data analysis using GIS software is essential.
- Previous experience having worked within an Environment Consulting role or related role specialising in air quality or a related environmental role is preferred.
- Previous project management experience from start to end is preferred as well as driving a team of people on various projects.
- Previous experience in ambient, source (stack) and dust fallout monitoring and sample processing is essential.
- Must be able to manage, verify and analyse monitoring data.
- Must have knowledge of the South African Environmental/Air Quality Legislation.
- Must have the ability to follow instructions and brief to completion.
- Computer literacy is essential with good working knowledge of Microsoft packages.
- Previous experience compiling quotations and proposals would be an advantage.
- Must have strong project management skills as well as verbal and written communication skills.
- Previous dispersion modelling and ISO 17025:2005 or 2007 experience would be highly advantageous.
- Managing projects from start to end as well as managing and driving a team of people on various projects out in the field.
- Contributing to the identification of SHEQ risks.
- Embracing, displaying, and promoting the Company values and ensuring a safe working environment is maintained at all times.
- Preparing for and undertaking fieldwork, inclusive of dust fallout, meteorological and particulate monitoring, passive sampling, active sampling, and any other project as required by the Company.
- Managing and planning fieldwork, including the completion of all health and safety requirements, both with regards to Company and Client requirements.
- Overseeing and conducting site visits independently and with other personnel.
- Collecting and delivering passive and dust monitoring samples.
- Assisting Instrumentation Technicians with analyser installations.
- Planning and conducting AQMS maintenance.
- Conducting source monitoring campaigns.
- Processing and formatting ambient monitoring data, inclusive of meteorological, dust fallout and particulate matter.
- Analysing and reporting on monitoring data.
- Performing GIS analysis of spatial dataset.
- Compiling atmospheric impact reports, air quality impact assessments, air quality management plans and climate change strategies.
- Writing proposals, tenders, and quotations providing technical expertise for client centric proposals.
- Assisting the Project Manager with project and Company administration.
