WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The **Technician I** will perform various tests on ammunition and explosives for product development, quality or marketing purposes. This includes test equipment setup, data capturing and reporting as well as the design of new test equipment and maintenance of old test equipment. Deliver general support and maintenance for test facilities.

**KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS**:

- Setup, operation and maintenance of test equipment.
- Design of test equipment.
- Data capturing and reporting during tests.
- Operational support for Test facilities.
- Operational support for Product Development, Quality and Marketing department tests.

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE
- National Diploma in Electrical/Mechatronics/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- NQF 7 relevant qualification will be advantageous.
- 1-year experience with design and manufacture of equipment.
- Experience with data acquisition systems and test instrumentation will be advantageous.
- Exposure to workshop/factory tools and equipment will be advantageous.
- High degree of responsibility and discipline.
- Basic knowledge of Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) in the workplace.
- Advanced computer literacy, specifically MS Excel and MS Word.
- Ability to travel off-site when required.
- Code B Driver’s License.
