Credit Analyst

**Job Title: Credit Analyst (part of large diversified group)**

**Location**: Midrand, South Africa

**Responsibilities**:

- Analyse credit data and financial statements to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money.
- Evaluate the creditworthiness of potential clients
- Provide financial analysis of clients financial statements and assess their ability to repay credit.
- Ensure compliance with credit policies and procedures
- Assist in negotiating credit terms and conditions.
- Provide support to the sales team in the preparation of credit proposals.
- Liaise with Internals and Account Executives to obtain all necessary information required for credit analysis.

**Requirements**:

- A Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field would be an advantage
- Minimum of 2 years experience in credit analysis or related field.
- Ability to interpret and assess financial statements.
- Excellent analytical, financial modelling, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of credit policies and procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
- Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Good knowledge of Excel

Experience with equipment finance or leasing would be an advantage.

The source of business originates mainly from office automation, solar, and related industries. This role involves assessing credit risk, interpreting and assessing financial statements, and evaluating creditworthiness of potential clients for supplier credit deals. The Credit Analyst will be responsible for analyzing and assessing information such as the financial statements and bank statements provided by suppliers to determine if the clients meet the credit criteria required for financing. This position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
