Johannesburg, South Africa Scorpion Legal Protection (RF) Pty Ltd Full time

The purpose of this position is to Tax Bills of Cost as received from Scorpion’s panel of Attorneys and ensure that payments to Attorneys are duly authorised and effected in accordance with standards established by the Company and the Scorpion Legal Protection Membership Agreement. Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
**Taxation of bills**:Ensure all bills received from Attorneys are correctly taxed and paid.

**Reporting and Quality Assurance**:Daily & weekly file audits and quality assurance of work done.

**Liaison with Attorneys**: Liaising with Attorneys on payment queries relating to their statement of accounts.

**Liaison with Clients and Staff**: Dealing with Staff in respect of queries on Attorneys statement of accounts and payment queries. Dealing with Clients in respect of queries on taxation of refunds.

**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND GENERAL WORKING CONDITIONS**

**Education**: Matric and National Diploma in Paralegal Studies (or equivalent qualification)/

**Experience**: At least 2 years’ experience in a legal environment.

**Knowledge** of Criminal, Civil, Cession, Extended Services, Labour and Injury on Duty, taxations.

Practical experience advantageous.
