Supply Chain Manager

**SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER / EAST LONDON -** The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for the overall planning, execution, and monitoring of the supply chain. This includes managing the procurement, inventory, transportation, and distribution of all food and non-food items. The Supply Chain Manager also works closely with the Operations team to ensure that all restaurants have the supplies they need to operate efficiently and effectively.
**Minimum Requirements**
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
5+ years of experience in a supply chain management role, preferably in the food and beverage industry
Experience with procurement, inventory management, transportation, and distribution
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
**Responsibilities**:
Implementing strategic plans for the supply chain, including procurement, inventory, transportation, and distribution.
Manage the procurement of all food and non-food items, including negotiating contracts with suppliers and ensuring that all products meet the Company’s high-quality standards.
Oversee the inventory management system and ensure that all restaurants have the supplies they need to operate efficiently and effectively.
Manage the transportation and distribution of all food and non-food items to the restaurants.
Work closely with the Operations team to ensure that all supply chain processes are aligned with the company's overall business goals.
Monitor the performance of the supply chain and identify areas for improvement.
Develop and implement new supply chain technologies and processes.
Cross functional communication with operations, marketing and finance to deliver on plans
Develop and support local market supply chain teams.
This position will be required to develop new approaches to solve problems when and if necessary to keep the organisation relevant and guarded from risk.
Common decisions would be around pricing, security of supply, risks around Standard operating procedures.
Final authority would be signed off/agreed by reporting manager.
Impact of decisions are high for the organization
Significantly modifying processes within the supply chain function.
**Competencies**
Ability to speak, read and write English fluently
Advanced numerical skills and statistical skills
Strong knowledge of spreadsheets, database and presentation software
High level of organization and detail-orientated

Capacity to develop followers by providing them with clear and simple instructions, demonstrations and explanations and systematically exposing them to planned but increasingly challenging tasks***
**Salary - **R40 - R45k (depending on experience)
