Head Guide

**Purpose of the job**:

- Providing sound leadership in the department to ensuring that all guests have an exceptional and value-added safari experience during all game drives.
- Ensure the company’s ethos and culture is maintained in the Rangers department.

**Requirements**:

- FGASA level 2 - Level 3 advantageous
- First Aid Competency
- Valid Driver’s license and PrDP
- 2-4 years’ experience as a Senior Field Guide or Head Guide in a 5-star game lodge
- DEAT Registered
- Full Trails advantageous
- First Aid and Fire Fighting Competency
- Riffle Handling Competency
- High level of general fitness and mental alertness is required in the position.
- Be fully computer literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft office such as word, excel and power point.
- Management, Report writing, planning and leadership skills.
- Fleet management knowledge
- Nature Conservation Qualifications will be added as an advantage.
