Desirable (NICE TO HAVE)
- National Diploma in Safety Management or Environmental Health
- ISO 45001 Implementation and Auditing Courses
- Power Plant Construction & Commissioning experience
- ESKOM Plant Safety Regulations (PSR) experience
- Medically Fit
- Minimum 5 Years experience as SACPCMP as a Safety Officer in the construction industry.
- Minimum of 5 Years experience as Safety Officer on ESKOM Sites.
- Drivers License and own reliable vehicle.
- Shall be registered with Statutory Body, SACPCMP, as Safety Officer.
- A recognized safety certification (minimum: of 2 weeks training) (e.g. SAMTRAC / Modern SHEQ Management course).
- OH&S Act and Regulations (latest version of the Act and regulations);
- COID Act (latest version of the Act);
- Incident Investigation and Root Cause Analysis Technique;
- Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment Training;
- Health & Safety Auditing;
- Environmental Compliance Recognized Course;
- Emergency Preparedness Coordination Training.
