Job Title: SHE Officer (Safety, Health, and Environment Officer)

Job Summary: The SHE Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety, health, and environmental compliance of an organization. They implement and maintain safety policies, programs, and procedures to minimize occupational risks, promote employee well-being, and comply with relevant regulations. The SHE Officer conducts regular inspections, assesses hazards, investigates incidents, and provides recommendations for improvement. They also develop training programs and deliver safety-related training to employees. The role requires strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

**Responsibilities**:
Develop and implement safety, health, and environment policies, programs, and procedures.

Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and evaluate compliance with safety standards.

Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Provide advice and support to management and employees on safety, health, and environmental matters.

Develop and deliver safety training programs to promote awareness and compliance.

Monitor and ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.

Maintain accurate records and documentation related to safety, health, and environment.

Participate in safety committee meetings and contribute to the development of safety-related policies and initiatives.

Conduct emergency preparedness drills and ensure the availability of appropriate safety equipment.

Stay informed about emerging trends, best practices, and regulatory changes in the field of safety, health, and environment.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.

Professional certifications in occupational health and safety (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) are highly desirable.

Proven experience as a SHE Officer or a similar role in ensuring safety and compliance within an organization.

Strong knowledge of safety regulations, hazard identification, risk assessment, and incident investigation.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with employees at all levels.

Proficient in using computer software and systems to manage safety-related data and documentation.

Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Attention to detail and strong analytical skills to assess data, identify trends, and provide recommendations.

Understanding of environmental management systems and sustainability practices is a plus.

Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and drive a culture of continuous improvement in safety, health, and environment.
