HSE OFFICER - PAARL

Leading Food Production Company is looking for an HSE Officer to implement and monitor all HSE management systems on site, including but not limited to HSE guidelines, objectives and practices

**Requirements**:

- Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment (HIRA)
- Internal Training awareness
- Root Cause Analysis Technique or Incident Cause Analysis Method
- Knowledge of either the IMS; ISO 14001, ISO 18001/ 45001
- Internal Auditing
- OHS Act/ Legal Liability
- Proficient knowledge and experience in improving and maintaining an Integrated HSE
- Matric / Grade 12
- Diploma in Environmental Health advantageous
- SAMTRAC
- Health & Safety Management Qualification
- Environmental Management Qualification
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Health and Safety Officer

**Responsibilities**:

- Implement procedures as per ISO 45001 standard.
- Schedule and execute audits on site to identify areas of improvement and implement measures as required.
- Manage, monitor and verify preventative and corrective actions.
- Ensuring that risk assessments are carried out and that Health, Safety and Environmental Plans are adhered to.
- Provide HSE training, awareness, and induction on site to colleagues, contractors, and other relevant parties.
- Identify safety team members, coordinate and appoint relevant members.
- Order and issue first aid stock, head safety team, and chair OHS monthly meetings as required.
- Engage with colleagues, contractors, and other relevant parties with respect to HSE matters.
- Arrange service of emergency equipment, Fire drills and any HSE surveys as required
- Compile monthly site HSE reports site.
- Facilitate Management Reviews in conjunction with the SHEQ Manager.
- Continuously assist to improve the IMS (Integrated Management System)
- Provide document - and record management system and administration support required, determine and make recommendations for corrective action.
- Ensure that safe work methodologies are developed and implemented
