The SHEQ officer is responsible to provide day-to-day HSE support to sites and operating teams within the designated region (Sasolburg)

Support includes coaching, teaching, and training field personnel on safe operating behaviours.

- Compiling of costings and reports daily
- Ensuring quality of costings and reports
- Ensuring all costings are captured on Evolution accurately and timeously
- Accounting for all expenses relating to jobs
- Conduct site visits at various sites, completing project onsite inspections, safety officer reports, and performing safety officer duties on-site
- Attend client site meetings
- Coordinate and investigate all incidents, non-conformances, and required Near Misses to implement corrective/preventive actions
- Coordinate and compiling of all health and safety files (Compiling, making alterations, and getting file approved)
- Ensure the Sasolburg SHEQ Management system is up-to-date and audit-ready at any given time
- Selection of competent staff and equipment to perform scoped and emergency work
- Supervise, control, and manage the completion of work
- Conduct PTOs to revise, investigate and improve on the operational procedures
- Verify operational procedures, policies, and safe operating procedures on site and ensure it is in line with the operations at hand, revise if necessary
- Training of policies, procedures, LSRs, PPE, equipment, etc and conducting evaluation tests (on site and depot)
- Coordinate and compiling of risk assessments and method statements
- Provide training and guidance based on operational requirements
- Identify non-compliances and implement actions to minimize company risk
- Oversee the Sasolburg operations and ensure the requirements are met and relevant systems are managed
- Ensures access is available for all staff and vehicles this includes but is not limited to the SHE induction, pre-screening, Badging, and the Vehicle badging
- Sasolburg Matrix is managed and maintained as required
- Being on standby should any emergency happen or assisting with required paperwork after hours
- Check and monitor operational staff paperwork / OPUS and provide additional training
- Training of policies, procedures, LSRs, PPE, equipment, etc and conducting evaluation tests (on-site and depot)
- Following and enforcing company procedures on site
- Liaising with the Operational Manager based on the job requirements to ensure relevant documentation is prepared and in place before starting the job
- Conduct random checks throughout company and raise improvements based on findings
- Close out and monitoring of operational groups based on the jobs and problems throughout the regions
- Overall compliance of the Sasolburg Depot.
- Uploading and maintaining internal App and internal System as required for your region as allocated.

**Minimum Requirements**
- Introduction of SAMTRAC
- SAMTRAC
- Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment Course
- Incident Investigation Course
- First Aid Level 3
- Legal Liability
- Valid Driver’s Licence (Code 08)
- Basic fire fighting

**Salary**: R15,000.00 - R20,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Benoni, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Administrative office procedures, practices and equipment: 1 year (preferred)
