We are looking to hire a Sustainability Manager that will focus on driving the Product Stewardship and Supply Chain strategy within the Sustainability function.

The role will work with various stakeholders and executives across the various trading and service divisions, including importantly with the merchant community and the Merchandise Supply Chain (MSC) function. The role will also work with local and international suppliers and industry participants to advance the Group’s progress towards more sustainable sourcing and production.

**The opportunity**:
The purpose of the job is to deliver on the Group-level Product Stewardship and Supply Chain strategy supporting the overall sustainability strategy for TFG. The role will drive the Group plans to ensure sustainable fabric substitutions, sustainable design, end-of-life and traceability solutions are implemented.

**Responsibilities**:

- Delivery of the Group annual product stewardship and supply chain targets - these currently include Cotton, Polyester, Wood, Jewellery and Leather
- Be a thought leader and research, conceptualise and draft appropriate project plans for fabric substitutions and sustainable design for the Group’s value chain
- Research, identify new sources of supply and introduce innovative fabrics and the appropriate new suppliers to the Group
- Implement a TFG Restricted Substance list
- Facilitate information gathering workshops or meetings so as to receive appropriate input to project plans from relevant stakeholders
- Drive the implementation of a supplier platform e.g. Segura, that provides visibility to the sustainability attributes of suppliers and merchandise
- To develop, implement and anchor workflows/procedures and ensure proper handover from project to operations
- Engage with key stakeholders regularly to ensure the successful implementation of the strategy and the attainment of the Group annual targets - Heads of Business, TFG Design and Manufacturing, the Retail Brands, Service Divisions, TFG London and TFG Australia.
- Conduct regular peer analysis and make recommendations in the best interests of the Group
- Recommend memberships and associations aligned with the Group thinking and maintain the relationships e.g. Better Cotton
- Assist with Group reporting for internal and external stakeholders
- Contractual: Support contract development and/or negotiation with clients and suppliers where required
- Financial: Manage project budgets, resource plans and timelines
- Procurement: support supplier selection and management aligned with sound ethical business practice and TFG Policy.
- Travel: when required to use knowledge, skills, and experience in support of relevant TFG business objectives.

**Job Requirement**:

- Experience within the Retail Industry being highly advantageous (particularly in a merchant role)
- Analytical skills
- Competent in engaging with complexity and managing multiple stakeholders
- Able to work between detail and big-picture thinking
- Comfortable with complexity and multi-tasking
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Proficient in problem solving
- Willing to act as a champion and drive change across the business
