**WAITER/WAITRESS**

**Pearl Valley Golf Estate, Paarl, currently has an exciting full-time vacancy for a dynamic individual, who will be part of their Restaurant team.**

**The responsibilities of the job incumbent include but are not limited to**: - Setting tables to laid-down standards, ensuring that all items used are clean, undamaged, and in a good state of repair **Greeting guests at the entrance of the restaurant** Recommendation of meals and drinks in accordance with customer preferences **Have an extremely good understanding of the menu ** Take meal and beverage orders from customers and place these orders in the kitchen **Staying attentive to the needs**

of guests in the dining area **Delivering food from the kitchen to the guests in a timeous manner (speed of service is essential) ** Ensuring the food order is made correctly by kitchen staff and looks presentable for guests - also ensuring that the order placed was the correct order received. **Ensure that tables are cleaned and presentable for the next guests ** Deal with customer complaints in a professional manner along with management.

**The ideal job incumbent must adhere to the following person specifications**: - Grade 12 - Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Waiter / Waitress - Experience in JONAS system will be an advantage - Good interpersonal skills - Willing to work shifts - Must be able to work weekends/evenings and Public Holidays - Flexibility - Detail-orientated - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (English & Afrikaans) - Able to multitask and work under pressure - Customer orientated -Stress tolerance - Trustworthy - Team player -Positive attitude - Obey to Health and Safety regulations

**A market-related salary is offered.**

**Salary**: R4,000.00 - R5,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Paarl, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Hospitality: 1 year (preferred)
