Join this global FMCG company as an **Integrated Facilities Management System Supervisor (utilities/facilities/plant)** and take the lead in coordinating and overseeing all IFMS-related activities. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the operation of various **Utility Systems** **including steam supply, compressed air supply, water supply, air conditioning, and electrical supply**. **Your main objective will be to ensure that these activities are aligned with the ever-changing requirements of the factory and optimized to achieve continuous cost and quality improvement, providing unwavering support to the core business.**

**The essentials for this role are**:

- A degree or national diploma in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical).
- At least 5 years of experience in the Engineering department, industrial environment, and/or facility management/utility operation within the manufacturing industry.
- A minimum of 3 years of team management experience.
- Advantageous qualifications include a minimum of 2 years of experience in contractor coordination and certifications such as GCC Factories, Certified Energy Manager, or Certified Energy Manager Business.

**Day-to-day responsibilities will include**:

- Defining, reviewing, and updating the contract scope, terms and conditions, and critical metrics for activities to meet the evolving needs of the factory.
- Overseeing and optimizing activities and personnel to drive continuous cost and quality improvement, closely monitoring critical metrics.
- Leading sustainability projects and developing business cases to reduce energy and water consumption, carbon footprint, and increase the utilization of green energy in compliance with global company requirements and our Zero Loss journey.
- Defining and recommending the departmental budget, maintaining strict control over expenses, and ensuring financial practices align with overall company policies.
- Collaborating closely with the Purchasing Department to select and allocate resources for activities at the lowest possible cost.
- Defining strategies and planning the execution of utility-related equipment to align with the facility's business needs. Ensuring all related activities comply with relevant South African legislation and company EHS Policy & Procedures. Leading the team in achieving annual goals set during the performance evaluation process.

**Additionally, you will be responsible for building and maintaining a contingency plan to ensure uninterrupted production in case of conflicts with the existing IFMS Contractor.**
- Ability to assign projects to the team, supervise execution, and provide analysis and summary conclusions.
- Strong business acumen with the capability to deliver department strategies and align team objectives independently.
- Implementation of department strategies with mínimal guidance and ability to propose improvements to existing processes.
- Proficiency in handling highly complex and innovative processes (e.g., contracts and projects) without supervision.
