Industrial Sand Quarry Operations Supervisor

Description of Duties

Responsible for all work undertaken in the Quarry including infrastructure Plan and organize raw materials supply to meet production needs, within the quality requirements Ensure regularly servicing and maintenance on all Earthmoving equipment Customer focus and Liaison work Ensure compliance with all relevant HSE legislation, in particular the Quarries Regulations 1999 Implement and ensure compliance with health and safety systems / standards and best practices Ensure that all work undertaken in the quarry is risk assessed and safe-working procedures put in place Ensure that all accidents and incidents are reported and fully investigated and corrective action taken as necessary Motivate, develop and train quarry personnel and contractors to ensure they continue to meet the competency requirements Organize and manage shifts of production staff Sand Quarry Planning Administration (short
- and long-term) Ongoing responsibility for the quarry cost control and forecasting Project management of projects within the quarry within agreed timescales and budget
