Maintenance Storeman

To control and maintain Engineering Stores to optimum efficiency to assist in meeting Maintenance KPIs. Provide support to the entire Maintenance team. The Engineering team is looking for a reliable team member, who is able to work under pressure and has good problem solving skills.
**Duties & Responsibilities**: Key Responsibilities: Issue Spares. Maintain Stock levels in accordance with specifications. Stock rotation is managed in accordance with standards. Stock control records are maintained as per company standards. Warehouse practices conducted as per standards. Initiate and follow up on purchase orders. Operational Control Of Engineering Store System Ensures correct procedures are followed to maintain stores activities. Receives and stores parts in the absence of the Engineering Clerk. Maintains the machine operating manuals and drawing Library. Checking the issuing of parts to see whether stock levels are in line with requirements. Procurement Fulfils the procurement function by: Purchasing of parts for stock as well as direct purchases on a daily basis, see that the correct stock levels are maintained. (According to Min and Max stock levels on the On-Key system). Contacting senior artisan if there are any problems in finding critical spare parts. Always Researching prices and availability to ensure that parts are of the best prices and quality. Administration (ON Key Stores System) Documents must be processed and checked on a daily basis to ensure that correct info is always available at all times. Prepare documents for signature by department heads and forward to creditors dept. Make sure that all documents have been processed in time to ensure accurate reports at month-end. Adhere to cut-off dates for month-end and ensure that accurate reports are forwarded to the Financial Department. Perform stocktaking at month-end and report any shortfalls and overstocks to Maintenance Manager.
**Minimum Requirements**: - Matric - 2-5 Years’ experience in a similar role - Manufacturing industry - CMMS and Microsoft Excel - Planning and organizing - Accuracy and high level of attention to detail. - Numerical ability
