**Job Advert Summary**:
To perform environmental monitoring of the Pharmaceutical Manufacturing environment, including the aseptic filling suite, and to perform routine tasks to assist the Microbiological Sciences Department.

**Specific SHE Requirements**
- Pre-employment, routine, and exit medicals are compulsory due to the nature of the business.

**Minimum Requirements**:
- Relevant science qualification e.g. B Tech, N Diploma (Microbiology)
- 1 Year Microbiology Laboratory Experience
- Experience working in aseptic environments would be preferred
- Experience working in pharmaceutical environment would be an added advantage.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
**Aseptic Filling Suite (AFS) Environmental Monitoring (EM**)
Undertake the environmental monitoring of the AFS and personnel in accordance to relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
**Accurate sampling of designated sampling points in the Manufacturing facility**
To perform accurate sampling of other Manufacturing areas on site.
**Operation of environmental monitoring and laboratory equipment**
To use facility equipment according to SOP’s while adhering to safety systems and processes and to ensure equipment are, cleaned, validated and calibrated prior use.
**Management of EM-related reagents and consumables**
To maintain sufficient stock and consumables for environmental monitoring.
To plan and organise work to meet changing priorities and deadlines by Pharmaceutical Manufacturing.
**Observe SHE protocols and procedures and follow good Housekeeping practises**
Practise good housekeeping and ensure the SHE policies, procedures and company standards are followed at all times.
**Microbiology Team support**
To assist with tasks that fall under the Microbiological Sciences umbrella such as microbiological media preparation; assigning and labelling identification numbers to samples; pure fluids sampling; microbial enumeration; preparing of samples for identification; report writing and communicate results that requires further investigation.
