Snr Forester

**Snr Forester (Micro Forest), Mthatha - Eastern Cape, Rnege + Ben + COMPANY HOUSING**
- **Diploma in Forestry** as the minimum, **Btech** will be an advantage
- At least **10 years' experience as a forester** of which at least **2 of these must be at Senior Level.**:

- Ability to **manage teams to financial efficiencies**:

- **Extensive firefighting** experience
- Proficiency in **Micro Forest, Excel, Word, GIS, PowerPoint & Outlook**:

- Technical knowledge of the environment
- Planning & organizational skills
- Management of **management unit fleet**:

- **Establish, maintain and protect plantation assets**:

- Excellent people management skills
- Advanced fire management experience, **silviculture team management experience**:

- Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
- Good Time Management Skills
- Ability to plan, identify problems and come up with solutions.
- Have well-developed decision-making skills
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships
- Ability to work under pressure with no supervision
- Ability to motivate and train/coach/mentor subordinates
- **Budgeting and Budget control**:

- Good team player with good communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Adhere to all environmental, conservation legislation
- Manage Contractors where applicable
