Our client is a South African established **Cyber Security Company**, who specialises in **Evaluating security structure**, **Revealing threat vectors** and Constructing powerful defensive frameworks/structures against ongoing cyber attacks.

As a **Senior Consultant** in the field of cyber security, you will take on various roles. Consultants in this field often act as both attackers and defenders in regards to computer systems, networks, and software programs. Identifying weaknesses and fortifying systems to prevent unauthorized access is a key aspect of the job.

**What you will be doing**:

- Act as a lead consultant and conduct and complete assessments in the field of cyber security based on industry leading frameworks
- Participate in discussions with clients to work through concerns related to risk, security, and compliance
- Present findings and recommendations, as well as other relevant cyber security matters to both non-technical and technical audiences
- Serve as a senior consultant to the various lines of businesses by providing expertise in the field of cyber security
- Keep informed about current advancements, trends, and directions in cloud technology and identify potential threats and exposures
- Assist with proposal development as needed
- Expertise in the field of information technology security, including knowledge of trends, best practices, and compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Discover an effective method for safeguarding systems, networks, software, data, and information systems from potential threats
- Perform necessary measures such as vulnerability assessment, threat evaluations, and security evaluations
- Conduct research on the standards, systems and procedures related to cyber protection
- Develop and plan secure architectural designs for various projects
- Examine and supply security solutions based on industry-accepted analysis standards
- Submit technical documentation and official reports regarding test results
- Provide expert oversight and direction to security teams
- Revise and improve security systems as needed
- Evaluate the current state of cyber security posture of our clients, including comparision with standard/maturity evaluations, creating plans and roadmap for enhancement
- Provide guidance and oversight to junior and other cyber security consultants.
